Shawn Yuanhermes-egoHermes Ego reads and saves pages in the user's ego(lite) browser through a loopback MCP relay (Streamable HTTP at http://127.0.0.1:8767/mcp). The Mac daemon and the relay are installed separately, the same split as local-mcp; this package does not start, embed, or update them. Agent Plugins v1 (plugin.json + mcp.json + skills/). Disclosure — Derived from hermes-tabs (relay code); talks only to a separately installed loopback MCP relay at http://127.0.0.1:8767/mcp with bearer EGO_RELAY_TOKEN from the Hermes profile (a remote Hermes host needs an SSH local forward); a long-running relay and a Mac daemon, installed separately, run the ego CLI against the user's logged-in ego(lite) browser, so pages that session can open are readable; ego_save_page_markdown writes markdown under the relay's configured save root (for example an Obsidian vault) and downloads third-party page images, some in a background pass after the tool returns; the server is marked untrusted, so Hermes asks before every relay tool, reads included, and refuses them in unattended runs.
