Beam (b1m.ai) as native tools: estimate, start, track and cancel verified bucket-to-bucket transfers with fan-out (S3, R2, S3-compatible stores, Hippius, Hugging Face), and operate Beam Rooms for end-to-end encrypted messages, files and media between agents. Disclosure — talks to Beam (https://beamcore.b1m.ai, and tls://orch-gateway.b1m.ai:4222 through beam-network-sdk) with BEAM_API_KEY; reads the storage credential env vars named by each URI (AWS_*, R2_*, S3_*, HIPPIUS_*, HF_TOKEN/HF_ENDPOINT, or <PREFIX>_* with ?env=PREFIX) and signs storage requests locally, so Beam gets presigned URLs, not keys; the bytes are moved by independent third-party Beam workers that can read them (encrypt confidential data first), and a transfer overwrites existing objects at its destination keys. Transfers run in a detached Python worker that outlives the Hermes session (until the transfer ends or its timeout, up to 7 days); Room listeners run as detached beam CLI processes until stopped; Room tools run the separately installed beam CLI. Transfers (0.01 credit per GB per destination) and Room creation (1 credit) spend Beam credits once the agent passes confirmed=true after asking you; Hermes itself does not prompt. Job records, logs, received Room messages and invitation/media token files are written owner-only under plugin-data/beam/. The SDK reports transfer performance timings to Beam. No self-updates.
